Bonjour ESB,
My humble request is for any insight in regards to this dress.
I have attempted your suggestion of Reverse Googling the image and have come up with nothing but Pinterest boards and tumbles all without reference.
Something similar would be appreciated but I am hunting down this dress in particular. There is no date, invite list or budget set yet, it all hinges on the dress and this is only dress I've seen that I feel like committing to.
Merci for any help and kisses from Paris
love Moi.

Bonjour Chérie,
Bonjour Chérie,
S'il te plait don't waste any more time pining over a dress you haven't seen from the front.
Mayyyyyyyybe it is awesome. Maybe it's an old curtain that has been artfully photographed.
xoxo,
ESB
p.s. Is there a groom??

I love you, ESB.
ReplyDeleteAlso, just caught up on yesterdays post. I'd love a San Fran city guide if any one would fancy doing it, and you would care to run it.
Don't call it San Fran.
DeleteSeconded
DeleteThirded. What is so difficult about USING THE WHOLE WORD? Same goes for Cali, NorCal and SoCal.
DeleteGet over yourselves. What's so difficult about that?
Deletewoah there
DeleteLet's shine a light instead of cursing the darkness, ladies. Truly, "San Fran" is never okay. "SF" is acceptable when writing. "Frisco"-- never, unless you're a biker or a rapper. It's a little cloying and precious (just like SF!) but when it town, you can use the local abbreviation: "the City."
DeleteThat said, I'd be happy to pitch in on a city guide if ESB wants one.
no one gives a shit
DeleteI think it is hilarious that people get so worked up about "San Fran", but no one seems to mind the constant use of "BM" as an abbreviation. Ha!
DeleteReally though, we get worked up cause it's just not right. Some abbreviations are totally ok, like "SF" while typing or "The City" when speaking.
DeleteBut while we're talking about city guides, it's easy to google places in popular cities. We need guides for places that seem utterly boring. Like Arizona or something.
Can we have a city guide to Flagstaff?
there's the snark! I totally second the "is there a groom" question too...
ReplyDeletetotes a curtain
ReplyDeleteI know this is not remotely helpful as the dress is only stocked in Sydney, but...
ReplyDeleteit looks an awful lot like one of Lover's White Magick dresses.

I do know people who have found them second-hand on eBay so it may be worth a look.
Definately this one http://www.divinefest.com/
ReplyDeletewell fucking done, lady.
DeleteThank you!I'm sure I remember you suggesting that collection to someone. I was a little bit obsessed by that dress for a while, but live in london, so it was not to be. I also think it might be designed for flatter chests than my own.
Deletethis dress reminds me of this one: http://www.misstashina.com/?p=193
ReplyDeleteShaped like a robe but somehow totally works-- speaking from a photographers point of view. I'd add a few accessories to help it along, but that dress with golden light would be a vision.
ReplyDeleteSince she lives in Paris, I immediately thought of this designer, specifically, this gown.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion is and will always be, get someone to make it for you.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress so much, but it would most certainly make me look like a fatty boomba Miss Havisham.
ReplyDeleteIt's Moi. @eastsidebride Re: the Snark - haaaaah yes there's a groom but I totally had that question coming. @badbride AMAZING thank you! @nicole re: Delphine Manivet - her stuff is incredible too. Merci everyone.
