Yoyoyo ESB!
I have an unhealthy obsession with your blog. I just love it and all its greatness.
I'm getting married on Sept. 1st and I've already got this dress (the photo is shit, sorry).
BUT I just found this beaut (surprisingly @ UO).
Can I wear the dress to the ceremony and then party in the romper?? Or is a half time switch weird/tacky? What is the protocol here?
I would appreciate your straight-shootin advice if you've got the time.
Thank you!!

That is a jumpsuit, not a romper.
And it is
FUGLY.
So. Problem solved!!
Wow. There are no words for that monstrosity. She dodged a bullet. Good job ESB!
ReplyDeleteWOW.
ReplyDeletei saw that jumpsuit and was all *shudders.*
your dress is beautiful!
half-time switches are a-ok, just not into something far, far less worthy of your wedding day.
on first glance i didn't like that jumpsuit, but then it grew on me. so, i like it.
ReplyDeletebut. your dress is soooo gorgeous!! too beautiful to change out of into that jumpsuit. if you like the jumpsuit, maybe you could buy it and wear it on your honeymoon? or whenevs?!
I love the dress! And esb is right the jumper is totally ugly.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is gorg. Listen to ESB. No wedding romper, rock your ethereal gown all night long.
ReplyDeleteYES. Your dress looks very pretty and this jumpsuit is very very very NOT.
ReplyDeleteIf it was lined all the way through the legs it could work, but as is it looks cheap/ugs.
ReplyDeleteOkay the dress is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! But I understand that you maybe wouldn't want to party in it.. Just don't switch to the romper/jumpsuit. If you really love it, buy it and wear it every other day of your life. Just not on your wedding day.
ReplyDeleteThe jumpsuit is absolutely horrendous.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is fantastic.
Do you want to spend your wedding day in something horrendous or fantastic?
(I cried on the inside when I read the title)
if you actually turned the jumpsuit into a romper (by hacking off the legs just below the liner hem) you might be able to pull it off with cute shoes, but i agree with the chorus here; i would want to party in that gorgeous dress.
ReplyDeleteThis is clearly a case of bridal brain. When you've reached your maximum capacity of decision-making, and you start losing your damn mind. It happened to me! I bought a pair of fugly gold wedding shoes (that I didn't end up wearing), simply because they were on sale. Anyways, you have your dress, and it's a stunner. Call it a day. Wear that gorgeous gown the entire time! Now, switch gears and find a sweet romper for the wedding night romp. Good luck. xo.
ReplyDeleteBridal Brain!!! It's like zombies, but with brides.
Deletei was terrified you were going to tell the girl to ditch her dress & wear this horror show, but thankfully that was not the case.
ReplyDeleteCan I just add...Fuck Urban Outfitters.
ReplyDeleteYeah, girl.
DeleteEGADS! Why do I like this?????
ReplyDeleteThe dress is gorgeous, too.
DeleteWhere is the dress from??? I've been looking for something just like this!
ReplyDeleteWHERE IS YOUR DRESS FROM?!?!
ReplyDeleteCrisis Averted! Thanks for setting me straight everyone. And thanks for making me fall in love with my dress again! What the fuck was I smoking?? Anyways...
ReplyDeleteMy dress is by Canadian Designer Lundström. I found it by chance in a tiny boutique in my hometown and just snatched it off the rack.
...and now im pumped to wear it!
i saw the title of this post and thought "to romp, always. duh." BUT no. fug.
ReplyDeleteNot surprising that it is from UO. Not surprising at all. The dress is LOVELY and very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat designer seems awesome, judging from her website. Way to go.
ReplyDeleteWhere can we get a dress like your original??? It's a stunner and just what I'm looking for.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I can't find anything regarding the dress online! I've been trying to find something..anything!
DeleteThe design number is 1214340, but I'm not sure about the collection it is from. Good luck, I hope you find it!
Wear the romper and sell me your dress ;)
