The zoo catches a lot of criticism, but just today they held the grand opening of a polar bear conservation centre that will serve as a rehabilitation centre for orphaned polar bear cubs. It's pretty awesome.
Ok well not MY zoo. But the zoo in Winnipeg, which is where I live. A city that is often criticized for being too cold, boring and mosquito-y (among other things). So when anything shows up in any of the tiny corners of the internet I frequent that paints Winnipeg in any kind of positive light, I can't help but claim ownership to the awesomeness.
Ok so this all actually happened at our zoo a couple of years ago but LOOK AT THE LITTLE ALIEN KANGAROO BABY!!
