The boobs are always greener....

Hey there!

I was wondering if you could do a post for girls endowed with much less. The bigger girls (around the bustline, of course) always get the attention. We - the girls size A, AA, AAA (the more A's the smaller) - want some too.

Thanks! :)

omigod, are you kidding me?

THIS was the post/convo that started the whole thing:

  2. little boobs don't get the boy attention but i disagree with this email. clothes are SO easy for us. bra doesn't work with your outfit? don't wear one! let's be honest, we never need one anyway.

  3. What about the B-cups? Come on! Don't ignore us just because we're average.

  4. Small boobs get lots of cute bras, but not small rib cages. Ever try to buy a 28 or 30 inch band? SUCK.
(But hey, Big Book week is a most excellent idea. They're under-represented for sure!)

  5. @BL umm, you must be joking too? clothes were MADE for B-cups. You ladies are the luckiest bitches alive.

  7. Second the need for smaller band size. It's like All the President's Men every time I need to buy a bra...

  9. @nikki ... you crack me up. reminds me of when i would ask my mom (ON MOTHER'S DAY) "when will there be a Kid's Day ?" and she said "every damn day is Kid's Day."

  10. in other news, boobs week should fix that no-gay-male-readers issue you've been having.

  11. Thirding the difficulty in finding small band sizes. When I realized I was supposed to be wearing a 28-30 band size I finally figured out what a bra was supposed to do (i.e. not just slide up your back and fall off your shoulders all the damn time). But hardly anyone sells anything smaller than 32 (and usually they expect you to be an A then, srsly try finding a 28 C...sales ladies direct you to the two 32 A's in the store which DO. NOT. FIT.) Finding the right bra is really only easy for people who are truly in the 32-36 B or C range.

For anyone in Chicago, I've had good luck at Isabella's on Armitage. They carry a wide range of sizes, and even better they alter bras you buy there for free.

They were the ones who told me that when you buy a bra it should be tight on the last hook. They stretch over time and you get way more wear out of them if you gradually move in to the tighter hooks as they stretch. That knowledge is golden.

  12. How about an ILOVEMYBOOBS week? Because all I'm seeing is a bunch of whining about (two of) our best assets, big or small!

  15. While I imagine that it's less than fun trying to find clothes/bras to fit large breasts, it's not accurate to say that us small breasted ladies have all the win.

I am 26 years old. I am a double a. I am getting married in June, and would like to have some sort of SEXY something to wear on my honeymoon. In case you were wondering, the limited range of cotton training bras that fit my really tiny breasts? Not sure what to call them, but sexy isn't it.

p.s. Some of us small busted women are not movie stars, we have actual jobs where obvious nipples are not acceptable. While we might be physically able to go without a bra, socially it's not acceptable.

  16. Hmmm yeah... when you go shopping for the depressing bra size your fittress just told you you wear and they are STILL PUTTING PADDING in them you know that everything is made for the gal with littles because they haven't even thought that perhaps you don't need the extra padding.

  18. @lauren, fine; useless. but, also connected to our bodies. there's no point in focusing so much angst towards ourselves...

  19. @ amber - I'm loath to recommend UO to anyone because I don't really like having to go there, but they do have good, decently sexy tiny bras. They're usually lacy or sheer with absolutely no support. Basically, fancy training bras.

  20. just chiming in to say that there are some bra tips for smaller chests that were reviewed on jezebel... i haven't followed up or anything, i buy the cotton bras at american apparel o just go without - smaller chested gals DEFINITELY have it easier!!!

  21. @Fine Persecution - Riding up back/falling off shoulders - UGH, YES! I did find a website that sells smaller bands but haven't ordered any yet.
    Linda the Bra Lady
    Also - @amber
The Little Bra Companyhas some pretty (maybe not sexy, but at least lacy) tiny bras.

(I can't believe I typed "BooK Week" instead of "BooB Week" What a nerd.)

  22. @Celia, I was completely kidding! Also, I'm notifying my well-endowed friends about your posts. I know it's not easy to find bras/clothes if you're above a C cup.
