I kind of love them. They look like a cross between those traditional leather Moroccan slippers and ballet flats. I like that they are more androgynous than your usual flat. Sign me up.
seeing the men's mag guys in the elevator with leopard-print slippers made me covet 'em, but clicking through a slideshow (maybe R29's, now that i think about it) made me realize they're kind of deeply unflattering. they made models look chunky, team.
Yeah, man, they are everywhere. I bought a pair of flats the other day (potential wedding* shoes that I nixed - wearing shoes I already have), that I'm just now realizing are kind of in the slipper style - but they come down way further on my feet.
omg a little douchebag--- that is exactly why they are so great! it is precisely the right kind of joke to wear. just bought an awesome pair in a tapestry print from bass. i was worried the tapestry would be too much, and it probably is, but i love them. they do run a bit narrower than bass's usual width, fyi.

Hmmmm ... if you showed those to me out of context, I would be thinking Tudors era dancing shoes, not smoking slippers. I like the shape A LOT, but think they would only work on someone with teeny-tiny-adorable feet. Which is unfair, because people with those feet can rock everything, so it doesn't really count.
The yellow ones are FAB. I'm a girl who lives in flats, and they look so much more interesting than your regular pair of ballet flats (of which I have like 20).
Love them. I have tiny feet, but even if I didn't I'd still wear them. Just bought black velvet spiky ones from Topshop and they're rocking my world right now. Kinda a cross between Hef and dominatrix puts her feet up. Which is why I like 'em.
I'm liking the yellow ones. Honestly, though, if this keeps the loafers at bay? I'm down. On a scale of 1 to douche, loafers way out score these slipper shoes.
Ballet shoes are totally weak compared to these. The shape has a lot more androgyny and attitude. As long as they're in a cool fabric (a.k.a. NOT the red Hef slipper velvet) I'm in 100%.
No I couldn't disagree more -- I think they look adorable in the same way that a boyfriend jean looks cute. It's something a bit exaggerated and works in the joli-laid way. My fave slippers are from Parisian brand Aperlai.
I cannot stand those ugly shoes, and they are haunting me everywhere I go! So unflattering, and they just make you look like you're trying ao hard, in a BAD way. I want to burn them all.
