I made a movie.
If you live in Vancouver or near Vancouver (or you've always wanted to visit Vancouver and f*ck it why not? you've got miles), you can come see my movie at the Vancouver Int'l Film Festival on Oct 7 + 10.
I'll be there. They're doing Q&A's after the screenings and I am frankly a little nervous about em so if a couple of you showed up and maybe waved NO CRYING banners, that would be rad.
i'll throw my knickers at you all the way from here, cookies.
ReplyDeletei would give my left testicle to show up and wave a no crying banner for you.
ReplyDeleteHugest congrats! SO EXCITING!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't give my left testicle, but I'd give my left ovary to be there. You've got this in the bag.
ReplyDeleteNO CRYING

You effing rock. Kill it.
ReplyDeleteeeep! So exciting! If only I could, I would wave a "no crying" flag, while most certainly weeping.
ReplyDeleteFuck me, esb is a real person. who knew?
ReplyDeleteEdinburgh Film Festival 2012, m'kay?
And you're going to kill it (NO CRYING)
I just watched the trailer and it was like being in high school again for a couple minutes, Op Ivy song and everything. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI can't make it to Vancouver from here (here = Paris) but, cheesy as it sounds, you (and everyone on the site) have been an enormous source of support for me over the last 9 months so I will somehow try to project some of that back your way telepathically.
I'm not sure if this works in every situation, but in order to avoid crying during my wedding ceremony 3 weeks ago I had about half a bottle of champagne before. One glass at a time, of course, but it TOTALLY helped. I didn't cry one bit :)
Just in case though: I got this mascara that creates little tubes around your eyelashes. I forgot what it's called and I'm not at home to check, but it's waterproof and cryproof and it works well.
Congratulations!
so excited for you, dear. ugh, i have still never been to vancouver and that is my birthday and anniversary weekend! i wish! you'll do fine. this is uberamazing! :D
ReplyDeleteand you have a cool name?
ReplyDeleteyay, esb! the most awesome news this week, for sure.
ReplyDeleteYES! And if you want me to make no crying banners I'd be very happy to do so (seriously!). I'd also throw in a few "Suck it up" "Pretend we are all naked" and maybe a couple "Grow some balls" banners. That should help, yeah? CONGRATS!
ReplyDelete@Ali SUCK IT UP
ReplyDeleteCheck you out!
ReplyDeleteImpressive! I want to see!
ReplyDeleteTo placate all your NYC fans (me included) you should probably set up a showing here: http://reruntheater.com/index.php
I'm getting married at the Gastropub associated with this theater, and the whole place is awesome. Their theater seats are seats from cars!
can you bring back the wedding polaroid now? i miss it. (yes, like THREE YEARS LATER.)
ReplyDeleteYeah!
ReplyDeletecoming out party.
ReplyDeleteWhat, I leave for two weeks and you come out of the closet and make a movie?!
ReplyDelete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(No crying)
(LA screening, pleeeeease)
PS. SO META.
ReplyDeleteHOW DID I MISS THIS?
ReplyDeletealso, me and cheechy <3 you TONS.
I make it a personal quest to see every movie that has a bong in it, so when this premieres in Nashville (and it must!), I'll be there with bells on. Good luck!
