1999, who knew??

I thought you might enjoy a few more images from Arthur Elgort's 1999 Vogue shoot that inspired this bride.

Pointy-toed pumps are happening again right now.

Which leads me to wonder... Would these Zara booties be too much with the Chanel knockoff? Er, HOMAGE.

  1. Pretty sure you may have nailed it. I hated every other bootie option, but I'm digging those.

  2. Also I like the little pencil skirt dress. Minus the poodle. Obv.

  3. @HalfPint yeah, the other booties weren't sitting right with me either.

  4. I really don't like booties. It isn't up to the romper level of hate but I don't like them. I'm going to pretend these aren't booties and it'd help if you guys didn't call them that anymore, thanks.

  5. I dont like any of the options so far. I really think she should keep with a metallic shoe.
    or she may want to copy the bride on the picture with these black and white pointy toe pumps could work ($120).

    And while on my black and white wagon, how about these tribal black and white sandals? They're artsy, right? And at 70% off, they are a steal.

  6. I don't think tribal fits with that dress. Too ... squirrely.

    @Rob: Bootlets? Near-boots?

  8. copying the dress - not mad about it, it's stunning - so why not steal the shoe too? i like the black and white option, could be a nice contrast to the color blocking of the wedding party.

  11. I think your on to something here, these could really work and give her a lot of what she's looking for without the craft project.

  12. Love the silhouette in these dresses: so long, lean, and elegant!

  13. I know there's a good analogy somewhere equating trying to please hipsters about wedding shoes and a minefield!

    I've pinterested the black-toed pair @rodjsr suggested, for sure.

    Most recently, I've been eyeing these. Positively more demure than my original plan.
