    for a bride, yes, but with attendants it gets tricky. formal shorts are like vampires: you must ask them in of your own free will.

    @ESB, cutoffs + wedges = win.

    I have a pair of black lace shorts that I'm DYING to rock at a wedding. But I'm afraid I'll be THAT GIRL who's dressed inappropriately.

    Erm, yeah, please ask your attendants before putting them in shorts. As a short fat girl, I would *not* be down with wearing shorts to a wedding, at all. Wouldn't even do it for my own sister. I'd rather go wrapped in a bedsheet, or a burlap sack, or...anything, really.

    I am wearing shorts for my October wedding. White shorts, a white linen jacket, a peach tank, and white wingtip brogues. We are just having a tiny picnic in the park, no bridesmaids or anything, and then a dinner in the evening at a great restaurant. I am wearing a dress to that.

    I will send photos. I am loving pants week! I had planned on wearing pants, and had the Lyn Devon image that you posted as my primary inspiration for a long time, but then I found the shorts, and I love wearing shorts, so I figured I'd go for it!

    I'd love to wear shorts too. But I think on this occasion there's a lot to consider. Not everyone may be comfortable with it. Though it could actually depend on the theme and how everything is set up. :)
