I never bother going over to
Martha Stewart Weddings anymore, so I have to thank
hip hip gin gin and
{this is glamorous} for spotting this
DIY side chignon.
Glamorous put together a lovely,
streamlined version of the instructions so you don't have to click... click... click... click... while juggling your hairbrush, hairdryer, curling iron, hairspray, etc.
hey look: http://allthishappiness.blogspot.com/2010/11/jackets-boots-and-hair-do.html
ReplyDeleteit works!
Forget the chignon, I want that hair colour!
ReplyDeletebtw how the heck do you pronounce chignon? Shee-non?
I tried that diy guide for a wedding the other week. It didn't quite work out like hers (no doubt because my hair is longer and I didn't bother with the curling bit) but it looked nice.
ReplyDeleteYou've never struck me as a side chignon kind of girl, esb
ReplyDeletebootiful.
ReplyDelete@nikki not for ME, are you kidding???
ReplyDelete@Brigitta depends on how pretentious you want to be. I go halfway btwn these two pronunciations:

I say it, sheen-yawn. (i.e. like the Merriam-Webster man!)
ReplyDeleteI wear my hair like that at least once a week. No need for a curling iron. Just twist, pin, and go. Takes two minutes, tops.
so in love with this look.
ReplyDelete@esb thanks!

ReplyDeleteaweeeesome! wanna try it for sure...
