  2. Yep. It's so pretty. If I were going to do a veil, I'd wear a veil like that.

  6. how is that on her head?

p.s. totally ripping off your short hair/scarf idea and using tulle instead.

  8. I love it but as I said on Celia's blog a while ago, I couldn't wear something like that because I'm pretty sure everyone would think something had just been whipped up by the wind off the floor and blown into my face!

  10. here is how paranoid i am about pro blogging v. blogging for love: letting my last comment stand without explicitly saying i was being figurative makes me squirmy.

    DOWN WITH MONEY.

  11. Good thing I am getting married in small-town Kentucky where the birdcage is still cutting edge!

  12. The birdcage is over *on blogs*. In the last two years I've only seen 2 at weddings (I've been to over 30)and they both caused quite the stir.

    Just sayin'.

But yes, I like this more.

  13. i LOVE it. but i love it more with the lace form-fitting dress shown in the picture.
also, i'm with peonies on birdcages. any blog trend that's so over in our eyes is usually greeted as the coolest shit ever at a real-life wedding.

  16. I feel like this veil is suffering from what I like to call the Sarah Jessica Parker syndrome....

Girls think it's super hot and stylish, and guys will just think, "What the fuck is going on from the neck up?!"

  17. I need a fabulous edgy veil that doesn't look like I'm an extra in the Like a Prayer video or I have an uncontrollable craving for cotton candy. Damn it.

  18. I wonder how many veils I can get away with wearing in one day.... I want a short puffball like this for the reception, but a shoulder length, yet still voluminous one for the ceremony. Somehow I've got it in my head that my short poofy dress + big hips require massive volume on my head to keep me from looking like I have a tiny head. or something like that. Now I want to go play dressup!

  19. I didn't wear a veil, but if I had seen this before my wedding it would have given me serious pause.
