i like *some* jellies, but agree with amanda ... and sweaty feet are not fun on a wedding day. plus clear is always weird to me ... but the black, i like the black ones.
hm. they could be lined with some dr scholl's to soak up the sweat. but then that would defeat the purpose of buying $200 stuart weitzman jellies. if we're looking at plastic shoes, can we bring back those adorable vivienne westwood ones with the hearts on them? ah, here they are: http://tinyurl.com/ydbbvtq
i do like melissa jelly shoes and they def have rad styles for weddings, also i never had sweaty feet in them. it really depends on the shoe and the whole outfit.
I'm not convinced along with most of the ladies here! If anyone wanted to wear jelly shoes they could just stick on some gems themselves and save a lot of dollars??
stuart weitzman made my stepmother-to-be a pair of heels for her wedding to my dad a few years ago; on the bottom they had little "D+E"s (their inits) in rhinestones. as she lifted her foot for the photographer, my stepbro-to-be piped up: "why do your shoes say 'DIE' on the bottom?"
I bought the vivienne westwood jelly heels for my wedding dres on the beach in maui. Steve madden also has a way cuter style of them out right now simply named "jelly" that comes in some awesome colors.
I don't think you should wear jellies if you're over the age of 9.
ReplyDeleteJellies make for sweaty foots.

ReplyDeletei'm into it.
ReplyDelete!!!!! $158??? for something I can buy at wal-mart and glue my own bling onto? Nope.
ReplyDeleteJellies remind me of being a kid. These are kinda fun, but I agree with the DIY aspect of doing your own on the cheap.
ReplyDeleteMy mom just made the most ridiculous face when I announced the price. She gasps for both of us.
ReplyDeletenoooooooo.
ReplyDeleteummm no. a definite no.

ReplyDeletecan't do it.
ReplyDeletemy grandparents bought me a pair of jellies when i was a kid. they gave me blisters and got rocks stuck in the bottoms. i wore them for one day.
sweaty. nopes. can't go there
ReplyDelete$158 jellies is the most obnoxious thing ever. But real cheapo jellies have my vote.
ReplyDeleteNauseated. Nauseated is how we feel about wedding jellies.
ReplyDeletehmmm. looks like a recipe for dirty feet and blisters. :-/
ReplyDeleteI hated jellies the first time around, and I can't see that changing now.

ReplyDeleteAll I can think about is sweaty, dirty feet! That's certainly what happened to me when I wore jellies many years ago...
ReplyDeleteThey're quirky but steep. But I wear jellies now, so I'm probably in the minority for liking them.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, feet get a little sweaty, but I have shiny plastic shoes and you don't.
@Diorable that's the spirit.
ReplyDeleteNo jellies for me, I'm old enough to remember them the 1st time around & never liked them then...
ReplyDeletei hate sweaty feets, but i want to like them, because i think jellies are cute. i could totally see them for a beach wedding. but you lost me at $158.
ReplyDeleteUm... We feel un-well about them.
