But then my lady Emily Thompson sent me this photo of a corsage she made from smokebush, Yves Piaget garden rose and castor pod. Nothing prom about it.
p.s. Emily is featured on the Elle blog this week. Check it out.
I'm still up in the air about florals at all, but if they looked like this (corsage, bouquet, centerpieces, otherwise) I'd have a really hard time saying no. Spiky pink YES.
I want one of these in felt that I can clip to all of my old lady cardigans that I wear to work.
And I would give my left nut to see your prom pictures. I would totally swap with you, but I wasn't cool enough to go to prom. Maybe you'll send it to me and just take the nut instead?
1) i really went to inyourfuckingdreams.blogspot.com 2) totally wore a maxi crushed velvet BJ to a semi formal 3) didn't go to prom 4) wanna eat that cotton candy flavored brussel sprout lookin' corsage!
i kinda love this.
ReplyDeletethis is awesome! i'd prefer this than making my bridesmaids carry big bouquets.

ReplyDeleteThanks you all- I wish I had more clients like you! the un-afraid.
ReplyDeletei decided long ago i wasn't carrying a bouquet (i'd feel pretty stupid) this, therefore, works.
ReplyDeleteum. yep. love it.
ReplyDeletei think this place just opened up in my hood! (??) very cool. i like wearing corsages to formal events... it feels so special.
ReplyDeleteincidentally, i would love an ESB prom pic, too. ;-)

ReplyDelete(I'm the one wearing crushed velvet Betsey Johnson.)
i didn't think my florist could come up with something as awesome as the above corsage... so i had her scrap them and the boutonnieres all together.
ReplyDeleteshe pretty much had a conniption. i don't know if anyone has ever asked her not to do them.
where was emily when i needed her?

amanda makes me giggle.
ReplyDeletei wonder if i could get the moms to wear one of these at the wedding....
one of my fave types of rose...screw peonies these are much prettier and better on the budget.
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty and simple. Would've like it better for my prom than a big honkin corsage that didn't even match my prom dress.
