Okay but srsly. Brandy doesn't have time for any of that crafty shit. She's eloping.
Messy bouffant. YES. Bubble veil. Why not?? (I don't even know what a bubble veil is.) Now all you need is pair of kick ass shoes.*
Here are the contenders:
The Prada Ruched Bootie, on sale for $239 at Barneys.
And the Mogil Pineapple Peep-toe Bootie, $245 at American Rag Online.
I'm feeling the booties. What can I say? I'm also in deep lust with these Loeffler Randalls, but they're $625.
*As long as you have great hair and great shoes, the rest of it doesn't matter.
and here's where i vendor-hate* just a wee bit: SWEET CHRIST DON'T BUY SALE ITEMS FROM BARNEYS ONLINE. they suck at updating inventory, and if you need something on deadline you can get screwed. my husband got a pair of sale prada slacks that took two months to show up (they said at first after weeks of waiting that they didn't have any, then a pair materialized in a texas store weeks later).
ReplyDeletedeep breaths. okay. carry on.
*i hate because i love: barneys is the only department store i can handle on a regular basis, and co-op discounts are sick. buy in person, is what i'm saying.
good. to. know.
ReplyDeletethat said, these.
ReplyDeletei like the pink ones, but thooooose stella ones...must have!
ReplyDeleteleave it to lauren to find you *vegan* shoes. but yes, they kick ass in black.
ReplyDeletelove the peep toe booties!!
ReplyDeleteBrandy, if you do go with the fuchsia booties you've got some fuchsia earrings coming in the mail:

I'm a sucker for chunkier shoes--and the whole getting married on grass leaves out the pointy heels. I also can't bring myself to spend over 200 on shoes--call me cheap!! So Miz Mooz are my new favourite shoe brand. these are my wedding shoes (Canadian $):

But I love these for a retro look:

OK, I may be getting influenced by living in hipster-ville.
I vote top booties! Yeeeeow!
ReplyDeleteSee I wouldn't have even thought about booties! I'm staring at those Loeffler Randalls drooling and then those Stellas..I have an unhealthy love of wedges.
ReplyDeleteI know it's shitty of me to mention this now..but I'm in Canada so I think that means those fuschia ones are out. boo.
Yikes. Not a lotta online shopping choices. Canadian Zappos sucks, and I happen to *know* you ladies have style. I had high hopes for Urban Outfitters (North America!)... There are a few options there if you decide to go the slouchy/punk rock route. I want these RIGHT NOW, but they may not say "wedding."
ReplyDeleteesb, i thought urban was also on the mainstream poo poo list??
ReplyDeletei'm beginning to lose track.
YOU TRY SHOPPING ONLINE FOR SHOES THAT WILL SHIP TO CANADA.
ReplyDeleteLiz, shouldn't you be asleep?? Jesus.
ReplyDeleteNot to be a tomboy, but apparently TOMS has opened a wedding division of their One-for-One shoe campaign.
ReplyDelete;)
Ok. Don't normally love the booties but those fushsia ones freakin rock.
ReplyDeletenot knowing which stores are esb approved was keeping me up at night.
ReplyDeleteaaand school starts next week. gotta live it up while i can.
