put down the internet and make shit*


I'm serious. Take a day off the blogs this weekend and think up a do-it-yourself project your own damn self. I promise to do the same.

I might even mosey over to the library that's THREE BLOCKS AWAY, check out a novel and take it to the park.... The stifling heat in the bungalow tells me it's summer out there, but I have definitely not been taking advantage.

    i've been trying to dedicate one hour each day out of my new (unemployed!) schedule to make stuff. it's going to be a wedding crafting weekend.

    have you settled on a title yet? murakami's good for summer reading, too - something light, like norwegian wood.

    on crafting, i'll be tie dyeing my silly dress and getting closer to finishing this. needlepoint: craft of champions (no, really).

    seriously yo. sometimes i freaking hate the internet. and all technology. we're all so obsessed with hunting down brilliant ideas and imagery and yet never incorporate into our REAL LIVES. damn internet.

    Me and the internet have a love/hate thing going on here.
    After seeing the bf complete our balcony chiwa litter box I want to make things with my hands rather than jpgs and html.

    couldn't agree more. every weekend is internet free for me. i spend one hour editing photos on sunday night, but that is the only time is sit in front of the computer all weekend. i'm on here all week!

    I did that and made a freaking waltz length veil this weekend and stamped 124 lollipops. I discovered the 3 blocks away library too.

    There is an inner Martha Stewart/reading bug inside many of us.
