Not the real kind (as seen on my husband and Mark Ruffalo). Those will never be over.
But the rest of the mustache sh*t has reached saturation point. The proof is in this Flip Mino that Lauren alerted me to.
Once the corporate world starts copping the indie trend, it's time to move on.
(Please. Submit ideas for what's next. I'm at a total loss here.)
Cue momentary panic... and then just as I am poised to attack my sleeping beau with a razor I see you mean fake mustaches. Phew.
ReplyDeleteAs for the new trend, I vote monocles (spelling?) and possibly eye patches. I have no evidence for this whatsoever.
Thank you for calling that trend off. I'm over it....waaaaay OVER it. Now, let's move on to hating Uggs again. I just wore a pair for a week in Canada, because dammit if those things are comfy and warm. But, now that I'm back in the real world, I'm hating them again. I'm such a hypocrite. I'm ashamed. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit worried about this eyepatch thing.
ReplyDeleteI seriously saw a few ppl wearing them at art basel this year. It troubles me.
it is a sad day, but i suppose it was bound to occur eventually.
ReplyDeleteSo does this mean owls can make a comeback?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was searching Nimli the other day and saw a pair of hammer pants. Did I completely miss the memo? Are hammer pants really back in style?
I would be down with the eye patch if Rihanna hadn't worn one at the AMAs this year. Monocles are pretty stellar. So as not to waste we could just flip all the moustaches on a stick around and start rockin' crazy unibrows.
ReplyDeleteI second the unibrows!
ReplyDeletehere here!
ReplyDeleteamanda - i love hammer pants.
Oh, actually, it's pirates. The eyepach thing is just a sub-trend.
ReplyDeleteagreed.
ReplyDeletethank god! if i see one more fuckin mustache on a stick, i'm going to hurl. i'm ready for facial tattoos. theres a commitment for you!
ReplyDeleteor maybe a tiny tim crutch. it is the holidays after all.
AGREED!
ReplyDeleteYes, Movember is most DEFINITELY over. As fun as it was.
ReplyDelete(movember.com for the unaware...)
Hooray for pirates!!!! Pirates, pirates, pirates.
ReplyDeleteHooray for tiny tim crutch!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you...it is so annoying!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone notice the eyepatch in previews for the new Tom Cruise movie?
ReplyDeleteuh oh, i just blogged about this.
ReplyDeletepirates? c'mon now, facebook has already caught on to that. we can do better.
ReplyDeletewhat about antlers? (for decor, not accessory... maybe. but definitely not around the holidays.)
I'll admit it. Pirates was a blind stab. But the bklyn hipsters have been doing antlers for yeaars. Black masquerade masks are starting to pop up...
ReplyDeletejust came from a daddy daughter cowboy themed birthday party. favors? hats and mustaches.
ReplyDeletewhen the kindergarten set horns in, you *know* it's over.
