I am kind of obsessed with balloons as decorations and photo props. My love for cupcakes runs deep but they may just have been bumped from the top spot. I vote yes.
Balloons are the new cupcake in that 'people using them beacuse they make cool photos and not because they are in love with them' way. Cupcakes are classics though, mis-appropriated by wedding magazines. I hope that balloons don't go the same way.
Love your blog! (came from Cup of Jo.) Balloons are not great for the birdies and environment and all (when released), so I'm going to have to stick with cupcakes (which are not good for my hips, by whatev). :-)
You're right, Laura. I would *never* endorse balloon release. It's just that the colors in this photo are so good. (And I have a love/hate relationship with cupcakes because wheat is a migraine trigger for me.)
ok, so i'm new to your blog and have been scrolling your archives for the last half hour. brilliant blog! so in love with it.
i got married to husband a year and a half ago here in nyc but oh my goodness if i could do it all over again (same groom...new ideas)... you are amazing!

ReplyDeleteLove. it. Now I'm wondering if balloons and cupcakes can share the stage for a little while. The two just seem to go hand in hand.
ReplyDeletenope. cupcakes are over.
ReplyDeleteIts funny because I always think sweet 16/bar mitzvah when I hear balloons but these look absolutely great in a non-cheesy, sophisticated way.
ReplyDeleteballoons. Love me some balloons.
