New York Magazine has put together a Wedding Shop-A-Matic directory in honor of the season. Check out the hair accessories, including Silk Flowers by Vera Wang and Crystal Mesh Headband by Colette Malouf.
(Glad to see some pretty alternatives to the birdcage veil!)

Bridal Hair Accessories: The cream of the crop
Groom Style: Craig
Here's a slammin' real groom. He's got style, and he doesn't have a line of identical groomsmen to distract. (I hate it when the groomsmen all match the groom. You wouldn't want the bridesmaids to be wearing the same dress as the bride!)
Check out Ulrica & Craig Part I & Part II on The Bride's Cafe. Ulrica went barefoot. How green and fabulous is that?

Groom Style from the South of France
Is this guy actually wearing track pants over his khakis? I don't get it, but somehow he pulls it off...
Okay, I would skip the track pants for the wedding, obviously, but his windswept look is totally sexy. (This one's for you, FH.)

Eco-Chic Wedding Toss
I love the eco-chic idea of a birdseed toss. Martha Stewart packages it here in little glassine bags sealed with stickers.
I also like Martha's fabric bags decorated with rubber stamps and filled with paper confetti. You could easily make them eco-friendly with recycled fabric and paper. (The perfect re-use for all those DIY invitations that came out crooked...)

Silver Sneakers
I don't know how to buy 'em, but I want 'em. Let me know if you can decipher this!

Groom Style: How to Wear Summer Black Tie (per Details)
Click here for more pics, and tips like skipping the tie and cummerbund.
Details also features a photo of a dude in a tuxedo jacket and bow-tie with broken-in jeans, a look which I am not a fan of. The patent lace-ups don't sell it for me, actually.

Bride Lust: Honeydew Intimates
I just saw a great picture of a bride hanging out in her robe, pre-ceremony, on Elizabeth Anne Designs, and I thought about how my old-lady robe from target just isn't that cute.
I love this one. And the ruffly boyshorts are just hot. At Honeydew Intimates online.

Procrastination Wedding

Cotton suits by Express Design Studio ($250), Nautica ($369), Club Monaco ($378) and Calvin Klein ($256). Wool suit by Tommy Hilfiger ($495). More on men.style.com, plus tips on how to wear 'em, like taking in the jacket at the sides and in the sleeves for a slimmer fit.

Why the french dress better...
From the Cut: The French just dress much better than we do. So how do they do it? According to the Independent, they look sexy without being vulgar, wear expensive clothes "in a casual way that makes them look cool," and don't overdo the hair and makeup if they've got a killer designer outfit on. This is why Marion Cotillard looked better than Keira Knightley at the BAFTA Awards, for example: She looked effortlessly hot, while Knightley looked like she tried way too hard in her Dior gown. (click here for the full article)
Effortlessly hot. That's what I'm going for.

New boy beater from Soni & Cindy
This would be slammin' with the new wide-leg jeans I bought on ebay. If it was $19 instead of $95, I'd buy 5!
Coming soon to Soni & Cindy. Via The Daily Obsession. (Might be a case for the new backless bra.)

Mother's Day cards at Greer Chicago
These two are from La Familia. See more online at Greer Chicago. They also have loads of other cards and stationary sets that make great gifts (and their packaging is phenomenal)!

Groom Style: The Sartorialist
Kathryn (my lady over at Snippet & Ink) urged me to do a Sartorialist post. I especially dig the rocker chic vibe in the last pic...
But will you please make everybody take off their sunglasses for wedding photos? Off their faces and off their heads! That drives me bonkers, even in the candids.

Bride Lust: net-a-porter
Get married in this dress by Marchesa, with green satin pumps by Miu Miu. Isn't the silver ankle tie slammin' with the short dress?

Groom Style: Brooks Brothers
You guys, I won't post pics from J. Crew. I'm just not gonna do it.
But for a more conservative groom, what about a BrooksCool suit from Brooks Brothers? Made from a patented lightweight fabric (hence the dorky name) and priced from $398-598.

Rehearsal on the beach dresses from La Garconne
By Humanoid, Alexander Wang, and Rag & Bone at La Garconne.
Minimalist (and beachy!) and just enough fabulous. (I could even slip on jeans underneath if it got chilly... I want all three.)

In black patent or mascaleros silver at b store. Not cheap, but fabulous. The perfect sneakers to go with a tux.

Tagged
Alissa at grace's birdcage wedding tagged me. Okay...
RULES:
1) you link back to the person who tagged you.
2) post these rules on your blog.
3) share six unimportant things about yourself.
4) tag six random people at the end of your entry.
5) let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs
Here goes.
1. I love rats.
2. I hate Banana Republic and The Gap.
3. Wheat gives me a screaming headache, but very occasionally I eat a donut anyway. Or three.
4. I wear orange for good luck.
5. The best job I ever had (all things considered) was at a video store, the summer after I graduated from high school.
6. I was introduced to Bill Murray on the street in New York. He held out his hand and said, "Hi, I'm Bill Murray." Yeah you are.
Now I'd like to hear from
the lovely and thoughtful Peonies and Polaroids
the slammin' jewelers Digby & Iona
the mistress of ties I won't shut up about toybreaker
my new girl crush Emma Cassi
the dudes at kingsbury
and my new obsession scout holiday

F*ck Convention: Miss Rowe
I think either of these pieces would be fabulous for a Vegas wedding.
Miss Rowe pairs them with her skinny pants (um, haven't we discussed this? trendy and not flattering), but for the big day I would rock 'em with a tulle ball gown skirt or a short feathered one. I'm serious.

Emma Cassi jewelry
Pretty with just enough edge. You gotta hand it to the French.
For sale online, and not sooo expensive. I'll be sitting on my hands...
